On Thursday evening, 19 September 2024, I had the privilege of photographing the South Africa vs Spain women’s rugby match at the iconic DHL Stadium in Cape Town. It was a moment I had long dreamed of — standing fieldside, camera in hand, ready to capture the electric energy of this thrilling encounter. In a field traditionally dominated by men, being one of the three female photographers there made the experience even more special.
